Part Of The Characteristics Of Fluorine Rubber Plates

Compression deformation is the key performance of fluororubber sheets used for sealing at high temperatures. The wide application of Viton fluororubber is inseparable from its improved compression deformation.
The general fitting strength of fluororubber is 10-20Mpa; Elongation 150-300%; The tear strength is between 20-40KN/m, but its elasticity is poor. The friction coefficient of fluororubber (0.8) is smaller than that of nitrile rubber (0.9~1.5).
The low temperature resistance of fluororubber is general, and the limit temperature at which it can maintain elasticity is - 15~- 20 ℃. As the temperature decreases, its tensile strength increases and appears strong and tough at low temperatures. When measuring a 2mm thick standard sample, its brittleness temperature is around - 30 ℃; - 45 ℃ for thickness 1.87 mm; - 53 ℃ for thickness of 0.63mm; - 69 ℃ for a thickness of 0.25 mm. Generally, the use temperature of fluororubber can be slightly lower than the brittle temperature. As specified in the US military standard MIL-25879D, the operating temperature is - 40~205 ℃. The temperature limit for the use of fluororubber in aircraft engines abroad is - 35 ℃.
Fluorine rubber has a relatively high gas solubility, a relatively low diffusion rate, and a low overall gas permeability. In fluororubber, the addition of fillers fills the voids inside the rubber, thereby reducing the air permeability of the vulcanizate, which is very beneficial for vacuum sealing. If properly equipped, fluororubber can solve the problem of 10-7Pa vacuum sealing.
