FFKM O-ring
The permeability is low and the material has low outgassing values, especially at temperatures above 200°C. This makes it ideally suited for vacuum applications, especially in the Semicon industry.
FKM Strip
Fluorine rubber strips are a lightweight material that is resistant to high temperatures, corrosion, corrosion agents, oxidants, and radiation, so they are widely used in the fields of chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, and food. FKM Hose
FKM hoses are made by authetic fluoroelastomer material, with fluorine content 66%. It has great resistance to oil, fuel, heat, chemicals. It is widely used in automotive, aerospace, industrial, petroleum files.
FKM Cord
Rubber Cord is also known as FKM rubber rope. Its widely used in oil, gas, power station, automotive and chemical industry. It has excellent resistance to high temperatures, ozone, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics and many organic solvents and chemicals.
Chemical Resistance:
FKM product exhibits excellent resistance to mineral oils, fats, fuels, and hydraulic fluids. This makes it an ideal material for applications requiring high resistance to aggressive substances.
Temperature Range:
FKM product can be used in a wide temperature range from -20°C to 500°C. This high-temperature stability allows its use in extreme environments, increasing the versatility of the products.
Hardness Range:
The hardness range of FKM product can vary between 60 and 85 Shore A.
Select and Prepare the FKM product Compound
Different types of FKM product have different properties, making them suitable for different environments and applications. The first step in the process is to identify the most appropriate type of FKM for the product you wish to manufacture.
Feed the FKM into the Extruder
The FKM should be fed into the extruder. A strip feeder is usually used for solid FKM products, whilst a cold feeder is used for softer or more sensitive compounds.
Extrusion
The FKM product then passes through the extruder's barrel, where it is heated to make it more pliable. The extruder contains a rotating screw within its barrel. The rotating screw applies heat, mixes and pressurises the FKM product before pushing it towards the die.
Shape the Product
As the temperature and pressure increase, the hot FKM product is then forced through the die and shaped into the desired continuous profile or cross-section. It emerges from the die as a continuous length of profiled FKM product.
Vulcanisation (Curing)
Most extrusions need to be vulcanised immediately after extrusion to cure and harden the final product. Curing is usually achieved using a vulcanising chamber, where heat and sometimes pressure are used to vulcanise the FKM product.
Cooling
After vulcanisation, the FKM product products need to cool. This can either be achieved by turning down the temperature in the vulcanising chamber, by air cooling or in a water bath.
Cutting
Once cooled, the extruded FKM product can be removed from the cooling system using equipment like rollers or conveyors and cut to size using guillotine cutters or custom cutting equipment.
Inspection
The products must be inspected for accuracy, surface quality and mechanical properties to ensure they meet the specified standards. Once approved, the products are packaged for shipment or moved to further processing or assembly stages.
